Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

This policy explains what Nehemiah collects, how it's used and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. In it, “we” means Nehemiah, and “you” means anyone who visits the site or uses the app.

What we collect

Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form.

Workspace content: what you and your team put into Nehemiah, such as contacts, notes, conversations, prayer requests, commitments, gifts, documents and files you import.

Messages you send us: your name, email address and message when you use a contact or sponsorship form.

Technical information: server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used to run and protect the service.

Information about other people

Your workspace holds details about people other than you, and some of it can be sensitive. Prayer requests may reveal religious beliefs or health matters, and giving records are financial. You decide what to record and are responsible for having a proper reason to keep it. We handle that information only to provide the service to you.

How we use information

We use it to provide and secure the app, sign you in, send account emails such as confirmation and password reset messages, reply to you, enforce plan limits, and find and fix problems.

We do not sell, rent or share your contacts. We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not run advertising or advertising trackers.

AI features

AI is optional and off by default. Only a workspace owner can turn it on and choose which categories it may read. Private coaching notes are never included. When AI is on and an AI provider is connected, the relevant text is sent from our server to that provider to produce the answer. Turning AI off deletes the memory index built for your workspace. AI output can be wrong, so review it before relying on it.

Who can see your information

Your team: the workspace owner decides who is invited and what they can see, including access to finance and prayer information. Workspaces are kept apart at the database level.

Service providers: the app and its database run on servers we rent from a hosting company, and our email runs on our own mail server. If AI is turned on, the AI provider receives what is described above.

Legal reasons: we may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the service.

If Nehemiah is ever sold or transferred, this information may transfer too, and this policy would continue to apply to it until you are told otherwise.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the app: to keep you signed in, remember your current workspace and protect administrator sessions. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. Workspace owners can archive or delete records and can ask us to delete the whole workspace. Deleted information can remain in backups until those backups are replaced. We may keep what the law requires us to keep.

Security

Connections are encrypted, file storage is private, access rules are enforced in the database, and important changes are logged. No service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you think your account has been misused.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change your account details in the app and ask us for a copy of your information, a correction or its deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or California's privacy laws, including objecting to some uses and complaining to a regulator. If you appear in someone else's workspace, please contact that workspace owner first. We'll help where we can.

International use

Missionaries and their partners live all over the world, so your information may be handled in a country other than yours, where privacy laws can differ.

Children

Nehemiah is for adults and isn't meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly open accounts for children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll also let account holders know.
