Record commitments, gifts and pledges
Where support is sent, fees, currencies and how each record works.
Basic and Premier plans
Record a commitment
- Select Record commitment on a profile, or search for Record a support commitment with Ctrl K.
- Enter the amount, currency, frequency and start date.
- Under Where is support sent?, choose Direct to me, Through an organization or Not specified yet.
- Open More details for payment method, how it arrives and fees, if you know them.
Giving status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Committed — starting soon | Agreed, but no gift yet. The first actual gift moves it to Already giving. |
| Already giving | Gifts are arriving. |
| Paused | Temporarily stopped. |
| Ended | No longer active. History stays. |
Fees
Each fee can be not known, no fee, estimated or confirmed. Nehemiah never assumes a fee rate, and unknown is never treated as zero.
Record a gift or pledge
Use Record a gift received for money that arrived, and link it to a commitment if there is one. Choose monthly support, launch fund or special.
Use Record a pledge for a future gift. It isn't counted as received until you mark it received.
Organization payouts
If your organization passes money on to you, use Record an organization payout. Payouts are shown separately and never count as another donation.
