Getting started
What Nehemiah is
A relationship CRM built for missionaries, and how its main ideas fit together.
A CRM built around relationships
Nehemiah is a calm ministry operating system for missionaries. It helps you remember people, keep promises, care for ministry partners and know which relational action matters next.
It works like a CRM (customer relationship management system), but it is built for support raising and partner care. People are never ranked by how much money they give, and nobody is permanently marked as declined.
The main ideas
| Word | What it means in Nehemiah |
|---|---|
| Workspace | One ministry's private space: its people, team, goals and settings. |
| Contact | A person you know. Everyone starts here, whether or not they ever partner with you. |
| Household | People who belong together, such as a couple. Partner Care is shared across a household. |
| Journey | One person's path through partner development, from first contact to an invitation and its outcome. |
| Partner | Someone who has joined the ministry through giving, prayer or advocacy. |
| Commitment | Support someone has agreed to give. It is a promise, not money received. |
| Gift | Money that actually arrived. |
| Pledge | A future gift. It is not counted as received until the gift arrives. |
| Task | A follow-up, care touch or promise that Nehemiah helps you keep. |
| Inbox | Reminders Nehemiah prepared for you in the background. |
A typical week
- Open Today to see who needs you now.
- Work through Focus Mode, one person at a time.
- Use Quick Log after each conversation so it is remembered.
- Move people forward on the Development board.
- Clear your Inbox and finish with the Weekly Review.
